Tiny Festive Tomte Gnomes

Sometimes you just need a quick little project to use up those little left over bits

of yarn and to take a break from the umpteen unfinished projects you have on

the go. I’m sure that’s not just me ;)

These little gnomes were my version of a Christmas cards for the wonderful

people I work with. I’m proud to say, they were very well received and knitted

up in no time!

Yarn:

For these little gnomes, I used a selection of left over bits of novelty yarns and DK weight yarn. I did notice that my little hats in DK were slightly smaller than those in novelty yarn. I assume that would be due to my tension not being as tight with the latter. They still resulted in very cute little gnomes though :)

The yarns used in my samples were:

10g Sirdar Snuggly DK biscuit 494 for the noses.

20g James C Brett Faux Fur H1 for the beards

10g Sirdar Snuggly DK Flamenco 242 (Red)

10g Sirdar Snuggly DK Flamenco 242 (Red)

10g Sirdar Snuggly DK Cloud 487 (Grey)

10 g Sirdar Snuggly Bunny Puppy 312 (Novelty Grey)
