Welcome to cillaspurls.co.uk. These terms and conditions set out the legal relationship between you, my valued visitor or customer, and me, Cilla Webb, trading as Cilla's Purls. By using my website or purchasing a pattern from me, you're agreeing to these terms, so please take a moment to read through them. I've tried to keep the language as clear and straightforward as possible — if anything's unclear, just get in touch.

About my patterns

I design and personally test every knitting pattern I sell — no AI involved. Patterns are aimed at a range of skill levels, which is noted on each pattern, and while I do my best to make sure every pattern is accurate and easy to follow, mistakes can occasionally slip through despite careful proofreading. If you spot an error or something doesn't make sense, please let me know so I can fix it.

Purchases and payment

All patterns are sold as digital PDF downloads. Prices are shown in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise on the product page. Payment is taken in full at the time of purchase, and your order is confirmed once payment has been processed successfully.

Delivery

My patterns are delivered digitally by email download link — there's no physical shipping involved. Full details are in my Shipping Policy.

Refunds

Because my patterns are digital products delivered instantly, I'm not able to offer refunds once a pattern has been downloaded, except where something has genuinely gone wrong with the file itself. Full details are in my Refund Policy.

Copyright and what you can do with a pattern

Every pattern I sell is my own original design and is protected by copyright. When you buy a pattern from me, here's what that means in practice:

You're welcome to:

• Knit the pattern as many times as you like, for yourself or as gifts

• Sell finished items you've made from my patterns at markets, in your own shop, or anywhere else you like — a shout-out to Cilla's Purls is always appreciated, but it's not required

Please don't:

• Share, resell, or republish the pattern file itself, in whole or in part

• Copy or duplicate my text, photos, or charts in your own patterns or designs

• Claim one of my patterns as your own design

Considerable time and effort goes into creating each pattern, and unfortunately pattern theft is something designers like me deal with regularly. If you come across an unauthorised copy of one of my patterns being shared or sold, I'd really appreciate you letting me know so I can take action.

Using my website

Please use my website for its intended purpose — browsing and purchasing patterns, and enjoying my free content. You agree not to:

• Use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems

• Copy, scrape, or reproduce content from the website for your own commercial use

Accuracy and liability

I take care to make sure the information on my website and in my patterns is accurate and up to date, but I can't guarantee it will be completely free of errors at all times. My patterns are provided as guidance for a hobby craft project, and I'm not liable for any loss, damage, or disappointment arising from following a pattern, including from mistakes, misprints, or misunderstandings. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to my website, products, or legal requirements. The most current version will always be posted on this page.
